Do you think you could survive "in the wild"?

Final Assessment.

For the Into The Wild final assessment, I wrote a poem from Chris McCandless' point of view. My poem tells what he was thinking when he was about to take his first steps down the Stampede Trail and into the wild. Here is my poem: Enojy!

Walking With Wild

I now walk into the wild,

Leaving the life I once had behind.

Ten pounds of rice, and an open state of mine.

I know walk into the wild,

To find my inner self.

I have eradicated society, and burned all my wealth.

I want to find a purpose, I want to find a reason.

A reason to live, a person who I can believe in.

I now walk into the wild, the wild that is not tame.

I’m going to live off the land, and if I die,

I’m the one to blame.

Nobody is around, it’s just me, myself, and I.

Braving the Alaskan wilderness,

Now THIS is my high.

I may be ill-prepared, but when I looked at the Trail,

I just smiled.

I’m Alexander Supertramp, and I now walk into the wild.
